 1/2" x 12"

Monster stocks a large inventory of boxing ring turnbuckles and we offer free ground shipping.  A boxing ring with four (4) ring ropes will have sixteen (16) turnbuckles.  If you have a boxing ring with three (3) ring ropes, you will have twelve (12) turnbuckles.

The most common turnbuckle used for boxing rings is the 1/2" x 12" hook and hook turnbuckle.  These are also called “long” turnbuckles.  All boxing rings with a 20' platform, and larger, will use these 1/2" x 12" turnbuckles.

Some companies also put these "long" turnbuckles on rings with a smaller platform.  Here at Monster Rings and Cages, we use a shorter turnbuckle on all boxing rings that are less than 20' so you have more space inside your ring ropes.

If you are replacing your turnbuckles, you should measure one of your existing turnbuckles to make certain that you are buying the correct size.

Turnbuckles are easy to measure.  You measure the space INSIDE the two “nuts”, the “take-up” portion.  A 12” turnbuckle will open up to almost 36 inches in total.  It is the space between the nuts that you measure to know the size of your turnbuckle.

Turnbuckles are also marked with their diameter size, 1/2" or 5/8's", etc.  They also will have a mark at each end denoting L or R which stands for LEFT or RIGHT.

Here at Monster Rings and Cages, we carry a huge inventory of boxing ring turnbuckles.  All our turnbuckles are marine grade with heavy galvanization and are drop-forged for great strength.
